    Hi,

    I recently bought the brook theme which looks very good. I only encounter a problem after activating the theme. The back-end is getting really really slow (almost unworkable) after installing the plugins. I tested the plugins of the theme and the Insight Core plugin seems to cause the problem. I hope you can help me with this. I added a screenshot of the system setting. This all looks good to me. Is there something i'm missing?

    Hello,

    Could you please try increase following PHP setting on your hosting account:

    this can be increased by adding the following to your "wp-config.php" file.

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '1500M' );
    ini_set('memory_limit', '1500M');
    ini_set('max_execution_time', '300');
    ini_set('max_input_vars', 5000);

    Thanks for your fast reply Hina,

    I added your code to the wp-config.php file. But unfortunately still no difference in speed of the backend. 
    In the attachment you see the new system settings I have now.

    • The FTP login information (server address, username & password)

    I have checked your website and found that Insight Core makes your website slow because it is connecting to our server to receive updates: http://prntscr.com/m56iuv


    I think the connection between your server and our server is not good, so the request to our server is slow. Please ask your hosting provider about this problem. Do they block the port 80?

    Which IP adresses do you use for the connection. I can give them to my hosting provider so they can put them on the whitelist.

    1. We do not wishlist any external IPs on our server for security reasons.
